I was watching this game, and the catcher knew the runner was going to steal. After the ball was pitched, it was called a ball and the catcher threw the ball to second and the runner was out. The coach for the team that was batting complained that it was interference on the catcher because she stepped over the plate to throw the ball. The umpire said that he was wrong because it was only interference if the bat would of hit the catchers glove. Was this the right call?
is the catcher allowed to have her foot in their batters box if it’s an inside pitch?

I am in the middle of 14U girls fastpitch travel softball tryouts. My daily routine starting this past week has been Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Batting Cages. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: Throw. Run: everymorning sprints/distance. Everyday: strengthening & conditioning stretches and exercises. If you have any tips for training, tryouts, nerves, attitude, diet…. ect. I would love for you to comment. Also my arm has been in killer pain for the past week because I went to softball camp for two weeks then took a week off then started training. Any suggestions for that either would be wonderful.
Oh I forgot to add that I’ve been playing for 2 1/2 years and I’ve trained hard in the past to get to the same level as those my age. And as for my arm…. I’ve iced it about three times a day for the past couple of days and I found the heating pad today so I heated the three parts of my arm as well.
My arm is/was hurting in the shoulder (in the back), elbow (right above it in the muscle) and the wrist (i had to fend off a grounder after a hop, going right at my face)
